Gestalt therapy is a relational, experiential, holistic and person-centered form of psychotherapy. It is a body centered, non-pathologizing and a deeply compassionate philosophy. Gestalt therapy focuses on contact, relationship, awareness, personal responsibility, unfinished business.
Graduate school is to learn about therapy-
the gestalt institute is to learn to become a therapist
Gestalt therapy is the foundation in which all other present day therapies have grown from. Start with learning Gestalt and everything else will make sense.
In a world where there’s so many protocols and techniques available, our program will help you simplify this complexity and be more relational by providing a solid framework that will guide your work with clients.
GIR STUDENT 2021
“GIR provides a community of therapists and other helping professionals who are inspired to not only integrate Gestalt Therapy in their profession, but to do deep healing work during GIR weekends and in their personal lives. It’s a privilege to be a part of such a community.”
GIR STUDENT 2022
The training at GIR has been crucial for me as a therapist. The theory gives me a structure and toolkit to draw from to be more present, authentic, and deepen with clients. The weekend workshops have provided me with a community and the space to practice and refine my skills while receiving supportive and valuable feedback. I can't recommend GIR enough!
