Join us for an immersive three-day summer series exploring The Relational Field through a Gestalt Therapy lens. This experiential training is designed for therapists and practitioners who want to deepen their awareness of the dynamic, co-created space between themselves and their clients.
Open to current GIR students and non-GIR students. A great way to experience GIR at an affordable price!
Each day will be a mix of conversation and experiential learning as well as time to practice in a fish-bowl style of working.
Over the four days, you’ll:
Uncover what you bring into the field—your patterns, assumptions, implicit biases, and embodied presence
strengthen your ability to track the field phenomenologically, moment by moment
explore how gender, race, culture, and religion shape the relational space
engage in experiential practices like constellations and sculptural work to bring relational dynamics to life
*GIR certificate students: this summer series would count as a half semester credit and can be applied towards the required 4 semesters.

Topics covered: What is grief? What is grief not? How does grief make itself felt? How Gestalt Therapy works well with grief. Self-Care and basic needs while grieving. Secondary losses we sustain when someone we loved dies. Nurturing ongoing connection with the deceased. Coping with the holidays while grieving.
Population: Therapist and other allied professionals interested in learning how to draw on the Gestalt Therapy framework to more effectively accompany clients dealing with grief and loss.
